VOTE for me in the #QHotelsFamilyAmbassador competition with my Quackers Activity Pack Revamp

I love staying in hotels and think half the fun of a hotel stay is exploring the room and seeing what free goodies the management have left for you. Yes, I am the woman that gets excited by sewing kits, , sachets of hot chocolate, shower caps (even though I never wear them) and bubble bath.

I've never stayed in a hotel which provided a children's activity pack but apparently not only does The QHotels group already do that but they are planning to revamp it with help from bloggers.

At the moment their children's "Quackers" pack contains;
  • 4 colourful crayons
  • 2 x Quackers badges
  • A flag to colour in
  • A postcard to send back to friends and family back home
  • A colouring in sheet
  • A fun puzzle and activity booklet
  • An envelope addressed to Mummy and Daddy containing a £20 voucher (to redeem off a future two-night stay!)
So the Quackers pack is great already but I’d add a few little extras to make my little ones' stay extra-special.

Firstly an obvious one - a little cuddly toy (a duckling?) to keep them company in a strange bed . And maybe their own pamper kit of toothbrush, kid-friendly bubble bath and of course a square of chocolate to put on their pillow just like the best hotels!

For hotels with pools - some special Quackers arm bands in case you’ve forgotten theirs and a swim nappy for tiny tots. A link to a kid-friendly app to play on mum's iPad maybe? How about a themed bed-time story about  the lucky duck who got to stay in each and every one of the 21 4 star luxury QHotels up and down the country. A real treat especially as they have been named as the AA's hotel group of the year 2014-15.

Which brings me to my reason for writing this post. If you think my ideas for a new children's activity pack are good and you think I deserve to be the new ambassador for Qhotels I could get to do just that advising them on how they could make their hotels even more family friendly.

With my experience of raising 7 children who better to know just what it is that makes kid's secure and happy? I have successfully travelled on trains, planes and automobiles with my crowd and the home-made activity packs I have created have always kept them happy and ensured peace for our fellow travellers! A bored child is a noisy child and no-one wants that in the hotel room next to them!
