Silent or multi-device - which Logitech mouse would you choose? #review

A good computer mouse can make all the difference to your computing experience - nothing is more irritating than a sluggish response from the mouse when you are keen to get work done or are absorbed in gaming.

I thought I had reached the peaks of mouse-related satisfaction when I bought a Bluetooth mouse but I have just tried two new models  (also Bluetooth) from Logitech which have made me realise just how important it is to have a mouse which suits your requirements.

I work in communications and have my own Mac laptop and a Windows laptop owned by one of my clients which I use to work for them from home occasionally. It's quite a slow laptop (think sloth/tortoise/snail) but thanks to the new Logitech M720 Triathlon mouse I was sent I can now switch quickly and easily between Mac and Windows machines.

It's incredibly handy to be able to carry on with another project on another computer while the first is loading, downloading or just spinning its little wheels to wind me up. (Can you tell I am slightly irritated by that particular laptop!)

The mouse is smooth and swift and comfortable to hold - even though it looks larger than my usual mouse it contours beautifully to my hand. It features hyper fast scrolling and is designed to withstand up to 10 million clicks! Even with my EBay habit that should last quite a while.

I gave the other mouse I was sent (the M330 Silent Plus ) to a friend who is training to be a teacher. She normally doesn't bother with a mouse, relying on her laptop's trackpad but with her increased workload she wanted to be able to work more quickly and efficiently with better accuracy.

She initially wasn't too fussed about the silence bit -Logitech claim this model is around 90% quieter than a traditional mouse (the electronic type not the furry sort) but actually working in the evening from home she thinks it's much nicer for her family to not have to put up with even mouse-related noise.

She told me she loves her new Logitech mouse and will never go back to life without one! You can't get much better praise than that!

Check out the website to find out more about this bit of clever tech - it has too many features for me to list here!
Both models were due to be released for sale this month. Treat yourself or add one to your Christmas list. They'd make great presents for students or that hard-to-buy for bloke in your life.
