Top Tips for bargain hunters in the run up to Black Friday, Cyber Monday & Christmas.

I am renowned for my ability to sniff out a bargain. My friends like me to go shopping with them as I usually find what they are looking for at a fraction of the price they expected to pay.

There is no trick to this in the High Street - I simply make a beeline for the rack with the giant SALE notice over it and grovel through until I find what I need.

I understand that not everyone wants to do this to save a few pounds but in the words of the famous supermarket, every little helps!

I love outlet centres too. You can pick up some real bargains, especially if you visit during their sale seasons. There are two little words guaranteed to make my heart sing in my favourite stores and those two words are "handbag sale." My husband maintains I have enough handbags but of course everyone knows you can never have too many handbags. Or shoes.

Even I think I might have an issue with shoes. I have two huge storage boxes filled with flip-flops, shoes and boots.  My UGG collection alone almost fills one of the huge boxes. I know, I know, the classic sheepskin lined boots are huge and not exactly elegant but if there is a better way of keeping your feet warm and toasty and feeling like you are being allowed out in your slippers I have yet to find it!

I have some UGG espadrilles too - very comfy and with a fur lining to protect your heel. I got them in the sale of course.

I have had issues however having multiple UGG boots. I wrote last year about rushing to drop my mum off at the airport for her flight back to Cyprus only to realise on the way home that I had odd boots on!

Shopping online is a good way to pick up bargains of course. I have already bought many of the childrens' presents from online auction sites as at the moment prices are still quite low. Give it another couple of weeks when people really start thinking about Christmas and those prices will skyrocket.

Another great place online to pick up great deals is the website Love The Sales which brings together details of all the sales in the UK onto one website so you don't have to scour the www hunting for the best bargains.

With Black Friday and Cyber Monday (yes, it's a thing) rapidly approaching it's worthwhile making a list of which brands and products you are hoping to snap up at cut-price rates and head to the site  which lists which stores and sites are having sales and lets you click straight through to them.

There's a handy countdown for Black Friday and Cyber Monday on the site. I'd head there early and make the most of the money-saving opportunities the site offers. The early bird catches the worm! I'd certainly be happier browsing at home with a cuppa next to me than fighting my way through crowds in the shops all desperate to snatch a bargain even if it means elbowing people in the face to get it.

You can search via category including electronics, kids, beauty, home, by gender or by brand. When I checked today there were almost 300 stores with bargains on almost 15,000 brands to be had on the site.

Some items had 50% off like this beautiful Radley Hardwick medium zip-top Tote down from £189 to £95.

Some items had MORE than 50% off! I wonder what my husband would say if I treated myself to just one more handbag....
