Just breathe....

I have an Apple watch which in-between nagging me to stand up or increase my activity levels has recently started regularly ordering me to breathe. Like I might forget to without prompts from my wrist.

It's actually a calming mindfulness thing I believe - encouraging wearers to take time out from the hustle and bustle and focus on their breathing for just a short time. When I do it, it does a good job of making me relax. Mostly I end up yelling at my arm "Go away - I don't have time to breathe!"

My life is hectic. Probably too hectic for my health and wellbeing, particularly given that I have Fibromyalgia and a child with an ASD diagnosis. I often find myself emotionally and physically exhausted.

So, as we hurtle into a new year and my watch continues to nag me I think maybe I should start to listen and take more time to just breathe.....
