| Madmumof7. Mother, wife, blogger & now-radio presenter |
I'm writing this on a Sunday evening - tomorrow for the first time I will take over the studio between 10am and 12 noon as the newest presenter of The Mummy Mix at Radio Dacorum.
It's an innovative idea dreamed up by fellow blogger Mary Louise from My Model Mummy who sponsors a daily two hour slot - 10am-12 noon every day- where a team of mums present a mix of music and chat around parenting, fitness, fun and random thoughts and I was delighted to be asked to join them.
Sometime's they'll host alone, sometimes we will team up which guarantees lots of chatting and cackling as we enjoy ourselves so much it's as if we are in a cafe or our kitchens instead of a radio studio!
The show has already been nominated for an LBP (Loved by Parents) award and Mary Louise hopes one day you'll be able to hear us over the FM airwaves as well as via your laptop, smartphone or tablet (there's even a Radio Dacorum app!)

You can listen easily from anywhere in the world! Just follow the link from my blog home page - take a peek to the right of this post and you will see a Radio Dacorum badge - if the elves who make the magical stuff happen on my website are awake and I remembered to feed them -if you click on the button you should be taken straight to the website where you can not only choose to listen but also watch us via the studio webcam. This could be interesting if I'm having a menopausal moment like last time I was on air!
In the meantime I will be doing my best to remember when and which buttons to press and sliders to move and trying hard not to say any naughty words when the mic is on. Assuming I've remembered how to put it on that is.
Wow, what an exciting thing to do! I've always fancied this myself :)
