E is for Evening -The Alphabet Photography Project #alphabetphoto

This is the centre of the village at about 8pm on Saturday evening. The sun was golden and despite all the cars (the village is a bit of a tourist hotspot) I thought the pond and even the bench looked beautiful in the light.

As the sun dropped further I turned and took a shot over toward the church silhouetted in the beautiful blue sky. Then we carried on walking down the road to my friend's house for a glass of wine  and chips in her lovely garden.(you can read about that evening here

I'm very lucky to live in this part of the world. We might be cash poor but we are scenery and friend-rich!

If you happen to live anywhere near Aldbury, nr Tring in Herts, there is an Open Gardens Day here on Sunday June 15 from 1-6pm. Entry to more than 10 gardens costs just £5 and there will be guitarists and a string quartet playing live, Pimms and tea and home-made cakes, a superb model railway, a photography exhibition and many other extra attractions as well as some stunning gardens to wander round. Just turn up - tickets on sale in the centre of the village on the day.
