I bought my daughter a silk pillow case years ago after reading it would help avoid the dreaded matted tangles all parents of long haired children know and hate. If I had known about the many health and beauty benefits a good silk pillowcase could offer I would have got myself one too!

Obviously a luxury natural fabric like this needs a little more TLC than your average pillow case but you can wash it in the washing machine. Just turn it inside out and wash on a 30 degree or cool wash. To be honest most of my laundry is done at 30 nowadays anyway. For best results use a PH neutral silk detergent and whatever you do, don't tumble dry it. You can iron it on a low heat.
