Good News about Aphrodite Water Park near Paphos in Cyprus

When the sun is shining and the temperature is rising one of the nicest things to do is plunge into refreshing water.  I was so keen to keep cool last year I blew up one paddling pool for the children and one for me!

On the outskirts of the historic city of Paphos at the Eastern end of the Kato Paphos coastal road you will find Aphrodite Water Park with plenty of water-based activities for the whole family.

I wrote about the water park after visiting Cyprus a few months ago. I had seen bad reviews on Trip Advisor - you can read that post here. I was pleased to see after lots of work by the owners the park seems to be getting much better reviews on TripAdvisor now and in fact has earned 4/5 with the vast majority of reviewers describing the park as "excellent" or "very good." This is good news for the Park and the visitors!

Set in 35000 square metres of landscaped grounds with both natural and manmade shade for when the sun becomes just too hot to sit out in, the Aphrodite Water Park is the perfect place for Cyprus residents and tourists alike to seek respite from the soaring summer temperatures.

More good news -you can even celebrate your wedding or a birthday in the park! How amazing would it be for a child to spend their birthday climbing a watery volcano,  jumping over waves in the wave pool or taking charge of the pirate ship!

The whole family can enjoy the lazy river, jacuzzi, and family rafting while the brave enjoy thrills on exciting attractions like the Freefall slide, Kamikaze ride and the Twister.
Best top tip for visiting Aphrodite Water Park? Book in advance online and save 10% off the normal admission- buying a two day pass makes it even better value.

And if you are planning a long stay on the island or are lucky enough to live there it's well worth buying the VIP Family Card.

This costs just 259 Euros (or just 233.10 Euros if you buy online!) and allows parents and their children (under 18) to visit as often as they like during the season.

Imagine that -relief from the long hot summer and fun for the children whether they are tiny tots or towering teens. Check with the park before purchase for full details and terms and conditions of the offer.

Some more good news-there's a large free carpark right in front of the parker you could use the free shuttle bus service which runs close to many of the hotels, apartments and villas around Paphos on Tuesdays and Saturdays - check the website or ask your tour operator or at your hotel reception for details.

And of course there are large changing rooms, lockers and disabled facilities and a choice of places to buy food, drinks, ice creams and other treats.  No need to carry cash - you are supplied with an armband to "pay" with and you just settle the bill at the end of your visit.

And my final bit of good news? Children aged under 3 always go free at Aphrodite Water Park in Paphos!
