I'm using the traditional name as I'm a churchgoer but whether you call today Mothering Sunday or Mother's Day I hope all of you who have a mothering role have a lovely day today.
I started my day with breakfast in bed (naughty white toast with real butter) brought to me by my lovely husband and then it's off to church where we will give flowers to all those who mother. My son is driving up from Portsmouth to spend the day with me and we are having a traditional roast dinner.
This evening I'm being treated to a takeaway - food plays a big part in all our family celebrations!
I am so lucky to have wonderful children who all show me their appreciation in lots of different ways. I am truly blessed.
