It's been a bit of a bonkers week here. Wild winds, torrential rain, lots of extra school related stuff requiring early starts, costumes and the hunt for £1 coins. By Friday I was ready to pull the duvet covers over my head.
But instead I went for dinner at a pals and once round a table with good food, candlelight and lots of laughter I felt restored.
We avoided Saturday's storms by settling in at a local pub with a great gin menu and today when I ventured outside the wind had dropped and the sun was shining.
