I think most people would agree that the aesthetic for Lockdown 2020 has been lounge-wear ranging from last year's Christmas PJ's to stylish and soft casual luxe loungewear which wouldn't look out of place in an airport's first class lounge but is equally comfortable for a country walk with the kids.
Staying in is the new going out right now so why slob about in your partner's sweats when you could rock the lockdown in some white-hot new athleisurewear from style lodestars, Femme Luxe (AD).
Even this 50-mumble mum of 7 found styles to suit in the collection at Femme Luxe (GIFTED) although I will leave the extensive range of cropped tops, tees and hoodies to my daughter who has a figure like the one I took for granted at her age.
Selecting a few pieces from the loungewear collection was more difficult that I anticipated as there were so many items I loved.
I'm not normally a fan of slogan T-shirts but I adored the range of positive female slogans I discovered while scrolling. I opted for this oversized white "Fearless Femme" tee in large (12-14) which I knotted at the front for this pic - it's also uber-comfy left hanging loose over skinny jeans or leggings. You can get the same design in white on black too in sizes S-XL
I was feeling a little dizzy with excitement shopping for clothes, albeit online, and completely fell for a pair of black faux leather cuffed joggers which I found in the Joggers section of the website.
I was delighted when they arrived as they are super soft, have a subtle sheen and don't give you that unpleasant slightly sticky/sweaty feeling that some faux leather pieces can.
I rolled them up slightly as I am only 5ft 2 ins tall and like the above the ankle look. Femme Luxe does have a petite range BTW if you are also on the shorter side.
The joggers (available in sizes 6-18) teamed perfectly with my new T-shirt and I wore them all day from an exciting trip to click and collect products previously ordered, then lounging in the sunshine, finishing with an evening watching the sun go down with a G&T in hand.
Although the daytime temperatures in my neck of the woods are currently Mediterranean this is still Britain and in our rural location it can get chilly quite quickly in the evening.
Most evenings we take my daughter's pet ferret, Woffles, for a walk round the village. This week I was very happy to have my new Marina navy cuffed joggers to slip on. These joggers have an elasticated waist and drawstring and three secure deep zipped pockets, perfect for when you want to travel light.
Find them in the loungewear collection in navy, charcoal and black in sizes 8-16. I found them nice and roomy - again I rolled them up to my perfect leg length.
Teamed with my faithful white trainers, a fave Mickey Mouse T-shirt and a cosy teddy bear jacket this relaxed style would be just as at home on city streets or for cosy nights in front of Netflix with a bag of popcorn.
Overall I was delighted with my new loungewear and was very pleasantly surprised with the excellent quality of all three items, especially considering the reasonable prices.
Delivery was swift and I can report that all three items have been machine washed and came out looking good as new with no shrinkage.
