Get Set for the Festive Season with Cotton Traders (AD)

Have you felt a chill in the air this week? We've had such mild weather I was caught out walking down the High Street wearing a sweater and light jacket- I could feel a touch of ice in the wind finding its way to every bit of exposed skin.

We'd planned a trip to the garden centre for Christmas decor inspo. My artistic 16-year-old daughter enjoys helping me create a fresh table scape every year, and I enjoy spending time with her even though she generally rules out every choice I suggest.

For the benefit of the plants our local garden centres tend to be a bit chilly so I was glad to have a whole host of new cosy clothes from the latest range at Cotton Traders (GIFTED) so I could concentrate on crackers, wreaths and baubles rather than cold hands and feet.

This is the perfect time of year for a roll neck jumper and I teamed this Rosie Cable Roll Neck Jumper  in warm beige (it also comes in burgundy) with some super comfortable dark indigo denim leggings - elasticated to allow for a mince pie or two! The Cotton Traders Esme slim fit straight leg jeggings come in a variety of colours and four leg lengths- I opted for the 27 inch version which was still a little long for me (I'm 5ft 3inches tall) but I prefer a turn-up anyway so I'm very happy with this look. (Green coat model's own)

We decided on a sage green and gold colour scheme and picked up a few bits including some cute mini crackers with stickers and hats in. My 1-year-old grandson will be with us on Christmas day and I don't want to worry about him choking on an abandoned cracker prize.

Enthused by our finds we decided to go out again later in the week. The weather had really turned by this point but I was excited to finally get to wear this snuggly Sofia faux fur jacket which I wore over an old wardrobe fave, black corduroy dungarees, under which I popped a soft pale cream Cosy-up long sleeve Turtleneck top. By the way at the moment if you buy two of these useful tops you save £3. They come in four plain colours, a floral print or striped in sizes 8-26.

Many festive gonks *may* have been purchased that day. I've been banned from buying any more as they are lurking all around the house now.

I'm gutted that the beautiful opulent damson Borg double breasted coat was out of stock when I was browsing but keep an eye out for it - there's a reason it's flying off the shelves! Reminiscent of warm mulled wine this coat would be perfect for wandering round a Christmas market! (Although my faux fur is very soft and warm with useful deep pockets and I love it very much.)
