What we mean by this is that you need to make sure you can always pay for somewhere to stay, as having nowhere to stay is hard enough, without adding the fact that you’re in a different country into the mix.
So, we strongly recommend that you go through your bank accounts and work out what you can reasonably afford to spend on this trip. This may impact the duration, but that doesn’t mean you can’t still have the best time ever.
How About Driving?
Perhaps you want to go on a road trip as this works better for you than any other kind of trip. If so, then you need to take a few precautions to ensure that the road trip is the best that it can be. This includes getting the car checked for any obvious or unobvious damage that needs sorting before a lengthy drive. It also includes things like adding a ute canopy to the back of the vehicle to help protect it from the weather, but also from any kind of theft where it’s parked overnight.
Driving gives you a load more freedom when you’re traveling, as you’re not waiting for public transport, not even knowing if it’s going to turn up. Of course, you can always research beforehand to see what it’s like and make a decision on this, but for your own safety, we would recommend driving. It doesn’t matter if it’s a rental car to get from A to B in your chosen destination, or whether you want to drive around from country to country, this is safest.
Pack The Right Clothes
Lastly, when you are going away you need to pack the right things otherwise you could be too hot or too cold on any given day. It can help to check the weather forecast in the run up to you leaving. This will keep you informed on what you need to pack, you never know there could be rain when you least expect it. While it might be incredibly warm during the day where you are going, the temperature could drop massively in the evenings. Take a cardigan or hoodie so you can stay toasty in the evenings.
